Today The Hill newspaper published an op-ed titled “Fannie and Freddie investors want us to forget about the housing crisis”.
This op-ed was co-authored by Ed DeMarco, Doug Holtz-Eakin, Jim Parrott, Lew Ranieri Dave Stevens and Mark Zandi. The Op-Ed warns against the renewed calls for recap/release of the GSEs and reiterates the need for comprehensive housing finance reform. It is consistent with HPC's long-standing view on the need for reform that ends the GSE duopoly. Read the article here.
