Yesterday, HPC President Ed DeMarco joined The Urban Institute for a seminar on “How We Should Think About Administrative Reform of the GSEs.” The seminar focused on how Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac can be reformed through two aspects of administrative actions: migrating the securitization infrastructure to a market utility and spreading the credit risk that they assume more broadly throughout the system.
